Meet the Daisy Leaders...
Welcome to Daisies!  I am so excited for this years troop.  It looks like we will have a great group of girls this
year and the largest group yet.  Let me start off my telling you a bit about myself.  My name is Elizabeth Searles, and I am currently a senior at UW-LaCrosse.  I am in the education program and hope to teach at either the elementary level or
middle school level.

This will be my 4th year leading the Daisy Troop a Emerson.  I recently studied abroad in Melbourne, Australiafor 5 1/2 months.  While there I, volunteered in an elementary school in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th/6th grades.  I also traveled a lot while there and even meet Steve Irwin, the Crocadile Hunter!!  I really look forward to the things
that we have planned for this year and can?t wait to get to know you and your daughter better.

My name is Beth Bacos.  I am also
one of the Daisy leaders for this year.
I too am very excited to be working
with your daughters this year.  I really hope
that they will enjoy the projects and
fun activities that we have planned
for this years troop.
I will be graduating in May with my
degree in Public Administration and
would like to work in a hospital or
clinic setting.  I enjoy helping peole
and also educating them, which I
hope to accomplish with this years
troop.

I am also from Green Bay, and yes I am a
Packers Fan!  It is kind of hard to live
in Green Bay and not like them.

What Daisy's Is All About!
Daisies is the first step for your young daughter to start a life time of learning how to be a good citizen and neighbor.  Because the Daisies do start so young we like to make their first experience with the Girl Scouts a good one.  We plan projects that are fun and entertaining.

This years projects include:
· Make a Troop Shirt
· Necklaces
· ABC Book and Book share
· Mask Day
· Cookie Decorating

Girl Scout Promise
Also as a Daisy, we try to teach the girls the Girl Scout Promise.
On my honor, I will try:
To serve God and my country,
To help people at all times,
And to live by the Girl Scout Law

Girl Scout Law

As the girls grow into Brownies each will be responsible for knowing the Law by heart.

Girl Scouts 101

Now, a little bit of business.  Girl Scouts, Troop 41, is solely based on volunteers and donations.  So in order to keep things running and allow us to purchase materials for projects, we ask for a troop due.  Our dues are $10.  We do accept cash or checks made payable to Troop 41.  Along with the dues is a fee that goes directly to the council.  The fee of $7 is due upon completion of the application and should be handed in with your application.
Our meetings will begin on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 3:00pm-4:15pm in the library.  Beth and I will pick up the girls from their individual classrooms and walk them down to the library just before the bell and chaos of the end of the day starts.
